What are they worth?

A chap came and knocked on my door this morning asking if the old wheels from my E class were now for sale as he noticed i had changed them, i said i wasn't sure, but he asked me to think of a price and he would come back next week...

the wheels in question are the 17x8 mercedes sador wheels, all have nearly new tyres and one wheel is brand new, all the rest have slight corrosion but nothing to a quick refurb or even good polish can't fix!

How much do you think is reasonable for these wheels as i don't want to take the mick, but i also don't want to just give them away...

I would say ask for £350-£400 for the set (allowing for refurb)?

I'd say £350 for the wheels alone, the tyres themselves are worth at least £150 more on top if they are fairly new.

Ive seen sets on ebay sell for as little as £75, but they would typically fetch £130-140 if needing a referb. Ive sold referb sets for £350. (all without tyres).

The R129 SL wheels are worth a little more.

As mentoined ^,sometimes they go cheap.About two weeks ago,there was a set without tyres on ebay in very good cond no kerbs or corrosion for 130 buy now on ebay.

I agree, you might get bored of the ride with the 20" alloys on after a while..!!!

I have my eye on some other winter wheels, so thats not a problem! plus selling these is money directly into my holiday spending fund!

as for the 20's - i'll never get bored of that, plus the ride is like sitting on a sofa compared to some of my old cars - its all in the game haha
