what is the worst thing you have done since you've been driving

example

how fast have you gone
have you knocked a mirror off and kept going
have you hit someones car and driven off

or if you want to blame someone else then what have you seen or know about

my thing is speeding as a 21 year old i drove my farthers convertable Ferrari down the M4 at 176mph with the roof off. i would be to scared to do it now.

also i seen an old lady pull out of a car park and drag her car down the side of another then get wedged and go back and fore three or four times after trashing hers and the parked car she drove off

lucky for the parked car owner i left her reg under there wiper.

please dont judge this is just to get things off your chest and to remember all the stupid things we did.

Driving a Carrera GT at 181mph. It would have been 200 but a roundabout came up.

Similar for me De Tomaso Pantera at stupid speeds but my most embarassing one, on the way to the police station with my documents after getting a producer in a Ford Capri 2.8i I took a left turn to the police station rather too ambitiously, lost the back end wiped out 2 bollards in the middle of the road, recovered the car and kept on going. Needless to say when I returned with the documents I parked in a shopping centre car park and walked round to the police station. :o

Done 155 in the C320 Cdi + E55 a few times.

Been a passenger in a Maserati Spyder at 170+ with roof down!

Reversed a "little" too fast on a icy street in Sweden, could not stop and hit a building with the backend of the car.... only managed to push the bumber in.

Once honked at about 50 or so birds, the decided to reward me with a full bombardement! Carwash next!!

Maxed out my Nissan 300ZX on the autoroute between Geneva and Chamonix at 5am. Did it once, ticked it off the list and won't do it again, not even on a de-restricted autobahn.

Maxed out my old 3.6 XJS down the old defunct A5 between Wellington and Shrewsbury, which was ideal for the purpose - straight and empty - but was also single-carriageway and farmers fields and lane entries on both sides. Got 140 out of her, but the consequences of a tractor (or anything else) pulling out of one of those lanes/fields, or a tyre going, doesn't bear thinking about. Still, had to be done...

Anyway, the only thing for which I am not proud was when I wrote off said XJS a couple of years later. Lost her on a wet bend, powering up after exiting a 30 zone. Got it to about 55-60 when the back end went. Went vaulting over the hedges and needed the help of one bemused farmer to pull the wreckage out of his field with his tractor. I walked away without a single scratch, and it's the only accident I have ever had. Made it a good one, though.

Maxed out the C55 on the A303 with the wife asleep in the seat next to me :o ...

Knocked over someones wall / knocked off wing mirrors / dented and generally broke things with a removal truck and drove off at every opportunity .... :o

Ran into a milk float. My, that made a mess.

Had passed my test 8 days before

You *******. I've had three wing mirrors knocked off over the years by people who just drove off. I hate the kind of person who does that.

The one time I hit someone else's mirror, I left my contact details on a card under the windscreen, along with an apology and an offer to pay for repairs. I got a call from a very nice elderly gentleman who thanked me for leaving the card and suggested he pay for the repair and I make a £10 donation to charity in his name (I did).

Back in 2001 , I was driving on A3(between Koln and Frankfurt) in my 740csi b12 Alpina and got fined 600 euros on the spot. I was lucky tho`...that officer was a bmw fan. My speed was way over 195mph:)
Apart from that i`m cool. Never had an accident, just 4 parking fines in 15 years( 3 in uk, 1 in Usa). Everytime I want some speed i drive to Germany:)
Drive safe!:)

Without going into tooo much detail...........

Suffice to say that many. many years ago, Friday nights was designated as "going out with your mates night" and perhaps once or twice (or maybe more) I shouldn't really have driven home.
Luckily I was never involved in any incidents of any kind.

I hang my head in deep shame.

Nice snowy day ....with a mate in my Alfasud....wanted to show off and do a handbrake turn as we approached the bend. Said watch this as a little flick on the handbrake will bring round the rear.....................
:doh::doh: How was I supposed to know the handbrake on an Alfasud applies to inboard discs......on the front.

We went straight on through the hedge..........:o:o:o

I might have taken my old bike up to its top speed
A vfr750,it said 160mph on the speedo
private road of course :thumb:

dont we all feel better that its off our chest and we can get on with our lives with a fresh start...........

until the next time :thumb:

P.S. glad to know im not the only one in the 155mph + club

My only time in the ~150mph club was in a police volvo... oh well.

I'm not proud of any time when I drive like a prat, which does happen on the odd occasion, sad to say

I regret fitting a Peco Big Bore 4 to my 1.2 Nova when I was 17. I must have looked like a right prat.
