What are your top 3 favourite MB gizmos?
If you have a SWMBO, are her favourites the same?

Mine would have to be:

1. Climate control
2. Parktronic
3. Cruise control

This might be a chance to learn what useful gizmos/options exist and why people like them.

That would be my 3 'must haves'

1) Big V8 under the bonnet.
2) Keyless Go. Would prefer the one on the gear shifter like my old one, but can't have everything.
3) Dynamic seats, love these.

These are in no particular order (apart from number 1) and there are loads of other things as well, but the ones above are used daily.

Especially number 1.

I like the 'rest' button on the climate control panel. On a cold winter's day it's nice to come back to a toasty car.

Also, the close all windows & sunroof while locking the car function on the key is handy.

Sound system as standard is very good IMO - despite the fact I added to mine.

As much as they are impossibly bad at customer service and a bunch of penny-pinching shysters, they do actually sometimes make a great product - I just wish some other brand did exactly the same as what I have so I didn't need to have this badge on it.

There are a few things I really like

1. Hold (not sure why more manufacturers can't do this maybe it has a strong patent).
2. Column shift - really prefer this (in the Merc way with depress for park) to other auto shifters.
3. Bonnet star - unusual these days

The exhaust note - it's completely intoxicating.
The AMG button, that sets up the car to your preference in one push.
The LSD.

1) ABC suspension (when it works)
2) changing gear with a flick of the stick to the right/left
3) turning the traction control off and having RWD fun

3. Automatic locking of the doors - saved me from a beating from a lunatic ****nal fan on the M6 once.




4. The automatic starty thing where you don't hold the key (as in turning the key not keylost go).

(Love/hate with the single wiper - needed recovery because of it once. I quite like the foot brake too, though it was stunningly noisy on release on my W202)
