What Car does not like it (New E)

I'm no fan of the look of the new 'E' (horrid on the rear quarter/wing), but the picture used by What car on their review would make it an interesting proposition at 30k!!

Do What Car ever know what they are talking about? (They've got a pic of a Maybach in a story about an E-class ...)

Personally I'm gald Merc haven't tried to match the handling 'dynamics' of the 5-series. Yes I'm sure good handling is great fun for road testers, but in the real world, pounding up and down motorways, handling on a track or round bends is pretty irrelevant. Give me comfort and refinement any day!

I'm a bit of a traditionalist.... I prefer the previous ML, the previous C, and even (from the rear) the previous SLK.

No doubt I won't like the new E class either... but then again that's just me.

It took me years to get used to the newer E46 3 series BMW, for years I preferred the proportions of the E36. Strange, because I usually like the new shape fords as soon as they are launched.... although maybe that's because the older shape ones are bland......

Then again, if I liked a new model Mercedes, it would end up costing me money!
