Hello Guys!

As some may be aware, the 124 coupe is having an engine conversion to an M104.

This would be the perfect time to give it a proper exterior refresh while its out so...

What colour do you think i should paint the rocker cover?

Car is Azurite blue.

I keep meaning to get my spare one sandblasted and coated blue to match all the extra Sparco tubing;). Alternatively I may do the whole cover grey and then have the removeable top section done a matching blue..or I may just leave it grey..HTH's, Matt:D

p.s. I did not vote

Yea you see, that's part of the 'issue' I wont have any of that sort of tubing!! So colour choice other than original is a bit difficult to choose as it will be standard in there!

Then it should match the exterior; in this instance Azurite. Are you cleaning the block at the same time?

I think Azurite will look quite nice IMO.

Yes the block will be cleaned up, A possible lick of silver paint to refresh the whole thing up too...

Don't do it red whatever you do , it's not a Saxo !

Although I did have a bright yellow strut brace on a Mk 1 Gti in my youth

FWIW I voted original grey

I don't see the appeal of painting it an obviously different colour - sort of make it seem as though you're trying too hard otherwise. Grey, if not a subtle silver or satin black maybe.

Agreed with Will so has got to be original grey from me

Thanks for the input guys... really appreciate it.

keep the ideas comming though.

Original seems the safest bet however. Barry might go mad though!

Grey for me Billy :thumb:

Go on..you know you want to!
