What do you guys think of this?

The 450 didn't have hardened valve seats, none of the V8's of that period did. I have a letter from MB stating the fact and recommending having them fitted or using alternate fuel fills and using a moderate driving style.

I beg to differ. However, I don't have a letter from MB. In my experience, nobody has ever had a problem running a R107 on U/L. I defer nonetheless.

There has been a lot of discussion over this on other Forums, but they definitely don't have hardened valve seats. Opinion seems to be split 50/50 as to whether it's worth having them converted. Mine didn't like unleaded so I used to used additives, leaded and LRP. Each to their own really.

SLCs, like for like, worth half the value of a SL.

This car also advertised 1st column, P96 in Merc Enth.

Column 4 has 250 SE for sale by same vendor - Dawn Buckler

I never realised there was such a thing as an SLC. Lovelly motor car.
