How quick should I expect Mercedes me connect to be activated. Took delivery of new C class yesterday and MB control centre say they need the dealer to do this. Dealer is saying MB will send me an e-mail... somewhat confused !

I believe that there will be an all new diesel engine for the E350 which is an inline 6 replacing the current V6 engine. Do you have any indication as to when this will be available and is it worth waiting for?

I though the new inline 6 engines coming were petrols, direct injection lightweight alloy blocks, that are very efficient?

2.2 litre, 2.8 litre and 3 litre.

It's my belief that the new 350 engine is being launched in the facelift S Class early next year

They will need to find you a build slot that already has those alloys specified. I can look to see when I have them available tomorrow, I'll then be able to give you an indication

JBD I've an S350 ordered about a month ago for 1st March 2017 delivery. In your experience:
* what's the latest time anything in the order can be changed. For example de-badging?
* are there any options that can affect the pickup delivery date? I'm keen to know when I can start making arrangements for pickup, taking time off, visiting the areas etc. (For some things I like advance planning )
* is there any way to convert a dealer collection with a factory (e.g. Bremen/Stuttgart) collection?

There's no published running in period like the C63. It would be on a sticker on the windscreen. We tend to recommend that all cars are run in to a point though
