What does the P(car park?) symbol mean?

Have just leased a new E220cdi sle and don't know what all the symbols on the dash mean. They don't all seem to be in the manual.

Any tips?

can only assume it is the park assist function for when you're slowing up the car interprets that you're about to park, there should usually be an arrow that may appear to the left or right of the P symbol.

Yes as above. It is a parking guidance system which activates at slow speed and tells you if a space is big enough to parallel park in.

In the c class and i guess others? You can press 'ok'on the steering wheel and it should tell you when to turn the wheel etc to fit in the space although ive never tested it as im too stubborn to listen and untrustworthy of it!
