Hello all right here is the situation, I have a 2000( w reg) w210 e220 CDI manual transmission, but lately it has showed this ECP light I have checked google and most I the people say that their car loses power but for me it's all normal, and pulls very well and is normal, the central locking does not work I don't know if this play a part in this but today I took it to the mechanic and he tried to plug his machine in to the round connector in the fuse box but he said there was no power there at all, so my question is where do I look or why is this ECP showing without the power loss, has anyone had a problem like this all help appreciated in advance

You sure it's not EPC??

Electronic power control?

If the diag port has no power, check the fuses near the ECU

Sorry it's EPC, thanks for the correction lol, I will look at the fuse near the ECU, any clues to what colour or shape or size this fuse will be the one I'm looking for thanks again

7.5A blade fuse, 4th from the left

Thanks bob will look at that cheers will let you guys know how I get on

ECP lights usually point to a faulty fuel system.

A Star should show the issue.

Fixed that for you :)

He's apparently got no power to the 38 pin socket Olly

I saw.

But this can be because of faulty diag equipment
