? what does this switch do on a w202

hi there just got a mercedes c class ww202 cdi and there is a extra switch near the right side bottom under the rear window switch dose any body now what it dose

the switch shows a line going left to right and four lines going up and down

i will take a photo and post it on hear soon

mercedes book dose not tell me

I think that's the engine pre-heat button.

The heater booster. It's off when the red light is on. Goes on if outside temp is less than 8oC and coolant temp is less than 70oC. It is supposed to allow the inside of the car to warm up quicker in cold weather.

hi yes i do have the tiptronic gearbox nice this is my 3rd w202 its a 220 cdi dose it go did not think it would be fast but gave me a shock when i put my foot down

now time to do the mods

hi renault12ts you say the red light should be on but my one is clear dose that mean its on when i push it the red light comes

so just to be clear red light means off right cos it seems to be the same as the ac the red light comes on when the ac is on and clear when it is off would this be the same for this switch
