What Engine is this? I was told 240D

    It certainly looks like a 4cyl diesel to me, and if it is, the engine number should start : OM616.....

    Where did you get the parts from?

    I went to Southern Motor Factors to get the parts.
    I had either a large diameter air filter or flat air filter.
    Fuel filter was about 300mm long and oil filter small. They also gave me a primary fuel filter which I couldn't see on the car but assume it should be before the fuel filter. I need to get a manual.

    either a 200 or 240D... If its a 200 you better only drive on a windy day..

    Ive just been told its a 240D W114 with Mechanical Governor I.P

    That's a pneumatic governor IP, not a mechanical governor.

    Sorry my mistake, you are right its a pneumatic governor IP.

    This might explain why the exhaust has been bodged onto the engine manifold. Would a W123 exhaust go onto this engine or an W115 exhaust go onto the W123 car?.

    Whare would I get parts and a manual for this engine?
