After an A service I was notified that I needed a new fuel filter. What do I need for my 2014 C204 OM651 engine and where is the best place to buy from?

Yep the ones with the electrical plug ontop for the diesel heater are a hell of alot more expensive.

Yes it is. I had to have that replaced as it was cracked, a common problem I heard.

Part number is A 651 090 28 52, it's the same one for my car too. I'm getting mine from autodoc best fuel filter right now is the Mahle KL 913.

Part number for your fuel filter is A 642 092 02 01 it's a standard fuel filter as your car has the heating element separately (part number A 000 159 33 04). Check prices for aftermarket here.

I change mine (which has the heating element attached to the filter) every 40k miles with MB recommended mileage 60k miles just for piece of mind.

Bought the genuine one from Mercedes Newcastle for £29.95 delivered - cheaper than the Mahle or Bosch ones from Autodoc, when you include delivery, so a good result I'd say.

I think you should look it for on eBay or Amazon

Bosch pt no N2840 is the one with the internal heater, around £35 on eBay
