what glue for dash wood strip ?

I have a w202 classic and I bought the long wood strip that runs along dash under windscreen , It has a metal backing and its moulded , exact replica of original strip . What glue or adhesive will fix it for me ? I am loath to try superglue etc .

Dunno what glue, but hope you do it better than this or even this

I used double sided bumper tape and it never moved rattled or anything else. An MB paintshop might even do it for you for a drink
