Replaced all but 4 of the interior bulbs with leds. Had to order 2 more festoon bulbs for the rear foot wells. Couldn't get 2 bulbs to work in the rear dome light they would flash on and then go out. The same bulb works fine elsewhere so not sure what the problem is, so just going to leave them for now.
Next up look at the door lights they don't see to come on

Left mine at work :-/

Whizzed to McDonalds to pick up breakfast in it. We’ve not had one for years, but it was the most convenient way of having a hot breakfast for a houseful of flued up Dazzlers.

Even after all these years they still managed to get the order wrong. Some things never change :)

nothing. but i did fit new bosch wipers the other day - very impressed with them . £20 .

Replaced driver's track rod end and upper ball joint. Fitted front brake pad sensors to both front brakes p/o just cut the ends off and joined them together - makes you worry about what other work has not been done.

On Saturday and Sunday I drove my poor E Class repeatedly between my home, storage unit 1, storage unit 2, the dump and Wickes. I managed to dispose of a large trampoline frame, a massive piece of Ikea flatpack, a huge stack of cardboard boxes and several sacks of builder's waste. I also picked up a folding mattress and bought a new stepladder. At one point I had all that lot in the car at the same time. Got to love an E Class estate.

After all my chores I had it cleaned. It deserved it.

Not today but yesterday, ok it was raining heavy and it was the missus wot dunit !
What did she do you ask !

Well she was coming home into the driveway with our caravan and my Rover 75 sitting. The Mini I had been working on was now tucked safely away in my sons’ garage, and !

She drove the Merc in on a left hand turn on the wheel but didn’t straighten up, so she finished up with the rear wing of the Merc having a relationship with my Rovers N/S rear wing.

At first it looked really bad and with the Merc facing downhill leaning onto the 75 I didn’t want to reverse it back in case of causing further damage so I managed (just) to open the door of the 75 enough to get st the ignition to wind the window down then climb in. The 75 was tight against the caravan so I couldn’t get in the passengers side.
After this manoeuvre I moved the 75 forward and away from the Merc and inspected the damage.
As it was raining heavy I couldn’t see properly so this morning I checked both cars.
The 75 has a very light scratch on the rear bumper which should polish out and believe it or not the Merc also has just suffered a minor scratch, again it will polish out.
I reckon because both cars were very clean and it was raining the contact between them was minimised.
The wife, oh ! She’s still in A & E

Only joking but she’s rather quiet today bless her x x

Waxed the C32 AMG ready to sell.

Then found out that apparently I'm a new member (been on the forums for years) so i can't advertise:(

Picked the motor up after a long wait on parts. (2 months).
4 new camshaft adjusters, 4 new camshaft fitted.

Good to hear the growl again.

Spotted a GLE driver doing a double take when he saw Mrs D’s ML parked directly behind him. Straight after, spotted same GLE driver do another double take when he spotted my ML parked next to Mrs D.

I do that sort of stuff all the time, but I don’t often see others do it. Made me feel all proud and everything.

Booked in to get all 4 wheels refurbished and 2 of them straightened. Thanks to one or two of the thousands of potholes in the UK...

Technically this was done on Tuesday, but as I've only just discovered this thread.....
Had all four wheels refurbished, getting some genuine MB blue laurel wreath caps delivered on Monday to go in the centres, think they will go great with the body work! Also on the cusp of booking a remap with GAD, happy days!
