What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Just had the Gearbox Oil changed and now researching E350 front and rear Discs and Pads.
Have a look at mercedes Benz of Edinburgh on eBay , when I priced them for my Glc 350 they were nearly £200 cheaper than mb of Newcastle.

Yesterday I gave my Merc a quick wash ... not looking too bad for 26 years old :)

Now safely tucked up in the garage :D

Got a few brownie points the day before by washing Mrs BTB's Merc. That was absolutely filthy - worse than my tractor (seriously). The downside of being in the country surrounded by farms is muddy roads a lot of the time.

Fitted new front control arms and front bake reaction arms, not cheap, but well worth it, the drive is so much better and front end is now so stable that I had not realise how sloppy the drive had become.

What type trim is that lot replacing?....don't like wood myself but it looks right in some cars....just not mine!

It's replacing the silver metallic Avantgarde trim. Not a fan. I was originally looking at cars with Elegance spec but the CLK I ended up buying was too good to pass up.

Do like a bit of wood trim 😉 Did exactly the same with my last 9-5.

Had ours in at the cleaners for a mini valet. Busy tomorrow and working Sunday so I knew I’d not have chance to give it a well needed clean.

£45 very well spent. Looks very very gleamy. 🥳

Winter tyres fitted to the E Class . Decent sunny weather to do it as well . The rear summers that came off were looking a bit lean after 1200 miles in the last couple of weeks , I’ll begin the hunt for some new summers .

Managed to get the driver's side done but ran out of time for the passenger. Tbh it was a bit of a cow. Though the source car was the same year as mine the housing for the window control trim was slightly different and I had to ahem, modify it  The previous owner also had some module or other replaced years ago and it wasn't until I came to refit the door card that I realised it had been incorrectly mounted all this time. Sorted that and though the door never rattled or squeaked I swear it's more quiet now.

Anyway, at some point this week I'll do the passenger side.

Also managed to make the bit of damage to the speaker grille a little less noticeable. PO knocked a hole in it but luckily the missing piece of plastic was inside the door. Some super glue later and to my eye it's much better.

2 bucket wash
Clay bar
iron out
wax with Fusso
glass cleaned
inside wac and plastics dressed
Engine bay wipe down
