What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

You can imagine the conversation after you left:
Service Advisor to Workshop Foreman:
"You absolute plonker!!"
Foreman: "What??"
Advisor: "You know who that was, don't you?"
Foreman: "No.Who?"
Advisor "That was only Bobby Dazzler! He's got a Smart ForFour AMG Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Powered by Brabus."
Foreman: "Oh *^%$"&+"
That made me laugh out loud 😁

Everyone at the dealership knows me quite well, probably for the wrong reasons, but also because they look after all of my AMGs except ironically the Mercedes-AMG ForFour Black Edition …you know the rest! Brabus fly two technicians and their tools out to maintain that one given the extreme engineering and rarity 👀

For a moment, I thought that might be a wind-up.
Then I found this on the Web, so it must be true. Sure beats a rattly old Sprinter as a Service Vehicle

And parked up nicely in the Dazzler back yard. Looks different without the washing lines up (((which is a shame because Robs boxers would make an awesome windsock))) and the old mattress in the corner.

You forgot the broken down TV sat on top of the non working fridge....... 😁

Fairs fair, that’s only mostly true. As well as the mattress, fridge and tele, there’s also a settee and a pushchair with a doll with a broken eye and it’s head in back to front.

Up and out early in one. Awake at 0355 and driving by 0450. It was a very cold, crisp morning, with beautiful clear skies for the vast majority of the journey.

It was only 6 degrees, and dark for the first hour or so - and also the last hour or so - and it rained lightly, covering 300 motorway miles in 6 hours with the roof down.

Great car.

Ok....so after six months of constantly have to unblock the A Class's washer jets I decided to do a proper job. I removed and cleaned the jets....but the main cause was about 17 years of accumulated crud in the reservoir. So I removed it...one twist peg and it lifts out.....and gave it a good scrub inside and out in the kitchen sink with Fairy Liquid....sorted! and it looks much better under the bonnet too. So nice to have all 6 jets working....rather than the one of two we have been used to. 20 minutes in total.

I need to do this on the wife's Kuga. I read somewhere to try those tablets ( steradent)to clean false teeth in the bottle . If her spray jets don't improve ,it'll involve a strip down

Collected mine from the detailer this evening. Full paint correction and two-stage ceramic coating. Wheels were refurbished in metallic silver and also ceramic coated. Very happy indeed with the result, when I walked into the studio it was like looking at a brand new car! Bodywork feels like wet glass to the touch.

Very impressive, that probably cost more than mine is worth!

WOW! lovely motor you've got there. 😎🙂👍

Thanks all :). First car I've had with paint in good enough condition to be worth protecting (without requiring a few panels to be resprayed at any rate) so I was keen to protect it as best I can. No it wasn't cheap but if it still looks this good in a few years it'll have been worth it.

Put new fronts on mine to match the rears changed 6 months ago, yesterday.

Inherited (and cracking slightly) Bridgestones off and Hankook S1E3 on.

That's tyres expenditure on the car done for 2-3 years hopefully

My relatively new-to-me car had plates mounted with screws and I prefer to have plate surrounds on my modern cars.

I’ve been trying for a couple of months to pick up a set of Kleemann branded plate surrounds but have given up for now..

So today I’ve fitted a set which match those on my other modern cars and it looks much more like one of my cars now.

The MegaMount mobile phone mount I ordered was twisted and the replacement arrived today, so I’ve fitted that too.

I used my van to lug 10 ton of type-1 sub base from the local quarry to my current job (4 trips).

Despite my moaning of this Vito it really is an awesome towing vehicle. RWD and plenty of torque is effortless. Great workhorse 👌.
Sounds like fun! Do you have a mini digger or do you have to unload and move it the hard way?

Have MB sorted your missing permanent and switched 12V yet Ant?

Aye, quite enjoy quarry runs. ‘Boys and their toys’ n all that. 😆

It’s a tipping trailer Rob so no manual Labour. 🥳

Hire a 1.5t Takeuchi digger and mini dumper as and when needed. Again, quite enjoyable too. 😁

They phoned on Friday Mikey. The module is on site and it’s booked in for 8am on Saturday. 🤞
