Tonight I took a picture of my A205, a pic i’ve been wanting to get for a few months now.
On the road between Kings Lynn and Fakenham sits a long disused filling station which has retained its optimistic Open sign for decades. Purchase of the site and filling station demolition was announced a few days ago, to be replaced by offices.
For months cones aplenty have blocked entry but tonight they had magically moved/disappeared sufficient to get in.

It also made for very stiff legs and it being difficult to drag myself out of bed this morning, albeit not helped by having very late nights and early starts all week.Up and out early with Baby D for a 5 hour drive to Goodwood Festival Speed, and a 6 hour return leg. It was a beautiful day for a road trip.
A total of 11 hours driving (including quick pit stop in each direction) and 7 hours walking in heat made it a long but wonderful day
More likely to be bloody West Sussex Highways and their poor quality roads.Found this hanging on my brake hose! The other one was also broken and in the spring tray. I'm guessing that it was broken before I bought it and the MOT guy did not notice it....easily done. I've always thought that it sat a little lower at the front than other ones I've seen.... now I know why! Oh well.... on to Partsouq to get the part number.....I'm on holiday with the car to the peak district new week.... so it won't be done before then. I only recently replaced the two rears on the A Class......bloody Merc and their poor quality springs!

Stunning photo of a beautiful car Rob.I drafted this last night but fell asleep before finishing it! I won’t bother editing it, so all of this was yesterday

Baby D and I were supposed to be up and out early yet again today, albeit in a different car with space for Mrs D plus two dogs (albeit small ones).
However late last night - when Baby D and I got back from Goodwood FOS - we found out that Mrs D had had a very unwell tum all day, so we waited until lunch time before setting off to make sure that it had passed. Lie in for me
After one 5+ hour journey and one 6+ hour journey yesterday, we had a 7+ journey today! Heading South West over the Summer months is a nightmare these days but we made it in time for dinner and ice cream before the sun finally set.
Speaking of which, here’s a photo of our big old family fun bus which I took last night. She’s reserved for shuttling us between the Midlands and Devon these days, a task for which she is absolutely perfect.
