A bit of nice weather over the weekend and I saw a couple few nice/ rare cars.

Lancia Stratos on the A52 in Notts.

Ford GT40 (probably a rep - but very nice in pale blue) in Mattlock

Porsche 928 (modified) again on the A52

.....and a few nice Mercedes.

.

Some strange Toyota Hummer Clone, Jap import with 53 plates.

Looked odd, but cool. Anyone know what it is?

And one of these bad boys is in the next road, never figured out the point of the 2 handles on the front corners?

No reverse gear? Lift it up and turn it round like the old Bond Mini

Believe it or not, these bad boys are great off road.

Pal of mine had one of those Renault 4's that he had fitted a Renault 5 GT Turbo engine in ... was lethal ( and turquoise ) ....

I saw the underneath of my car : fitted the towbar this weekend .

AN odd convoy with white wedding streamers on - my neighbours cars amongst them.

- Immaculate BMW E36 M3 in Estoril Blue
- BMW E46 M3 in dark blue
- Splendid Jaguar E-Type in British Racing Green

Went past the house a few times on Saturday, anyone know any petrol heads that got married in Derbyshire at the weekend?

SLR convertable wizzing around Weybridge, the odd Fezza and Lambo in Guildford. Nothing uncommon apart from the MG Magnette I saw yesterday.

Saw a white KTM car thing on the A3 yesterday in hot pusuit of an Elise. Looked weird.

Stranger than that they evidently had a different wheelbase on the near/offside sides of the car due to the rear suspension torsion bars mounted one behind the other--- which must have made for interesting handling --- allegedly. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_4

Differing length on each side is not so uncommon - I read an accident report on the mangled wreckage of a Volvo 480 that made it clear that the wheelbase measurment showed no reduction even though it is different on each side - it was meant to be that way.

Not sure about that. I had one of the first 440 and that had a different wheelbase measurment on each side....but only because the rear axle was setup incorrectly from the factory.

Talking of Citroens I saw a CX estate on Saturday on the North Circular and today on the M3 a CX Gti, I've not seen a CX for years, and in the space of a few days two...

I sat in a CX GTi Turbo2 on Sunday..looks to die for outside, not so good inside.

The SM was nice though and the mechanic owner a real enthusiast, very competant regarding the Maserati engine.

If only one would fit in the garage...

I saw dozens of trikes at the Ace Café on Sunday
