Just got back from Spain yesterday, good fun drive up through France. Stayed at this cool place on the way, had a car park like a Merc dealership...

Parked next to a nice CL500 with some cool Carlssons...

Thought there must be something going on, it was so busy - turns out it was the launch of this little beauty <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> the new Megane

Those new Meganes look like Mini versions of the Renault Avantime (The huge luxury two door MPV).

They do - unless you're old enough to remember the Ford Anglia back window....like me   <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Poor old you having to sit behind one of those horrible ML55 things all the way through the Tunnel <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I am old enough to remember Ford Anglias too &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> I think an old chevrolet from the '60s had a forward sloping rear screen too.

Hiya Dave, <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Surely there wasn't that much in an Anglia to work on?

For Dave Elcome in particular, I offer this -

Shag pile carpets and Panda cars. Those were the days.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

My old feller had a Mk3 -

I remember as a kid going with him to Manchester Garages to get his new MkIV.
The old car was run for years with reg plate '5892 NF' on the front and '5982 NF' on the back.
Trade in was the first time anyone noticed.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

My dad had the Mk4 when i was a wee laddie, green so it was. All i can remember is it beingthe biggest car i had ever seen....although at the time i was considerably shorter!

Next to a CL600, i would love to own a pristine Mk 4. Sad though it may be!
