It has been a long time since I was on so i thought i would share a pic or 2 of the CLS. Its an 06 55 AMG with the 09 OEM wheels, mirrors, grille, steering wheel and Renntech V2 lowering module with remote. Sadly its now for sale so if anyone is interested in any of the 09 kit i will post them in the classifieds shortly.

That is one clean car!

The newer grille makes all the difference, IMO the old CLS grille looks so dated.

How are you finding the GTR? Nice car collection.

Still running it in so have not given it the shoe yet but some car. But i am going to miss the merc, so civilzed yet can move along rightly. I would say from 60 on the CLS and GTR would be close.

it is great but its too much car to have sitting around. I have only covered 7k miles in the last 18 months in it. The GTR is my toy now and my wifes wants something sensible so we spec'd up a designo B200 CDI today for her. Had a look at trading the CLS in, I could have used a stiff drink during that chat!

what tyres do you have on the CLS? Not heard of 'Ventus' ...

I have driven my friends GT-R after and I can tell you it will beat the 55 easily. Its by far the quickest car I have been in.

I would love to have a GT-R but I need two baby seats in the back for now. Enjoy it!!!

They aren't that cheap as they are the top of the line tyre from them and now OEM on quite a few tasty sports cars.

Try Google ;)

Hankook also make race tyres. So I think their reputation will increase once word spreads.

i think i paid £200 each for those. MB list the continental as we know but the Hankook on the front have less work to do IMO. I had to replace all 4 at once so i took the tyre mans advice on this one to be fair.

I have only 1 baby seat in the back for now! but IMHO i am yet to be blown away by the performance. It will not beat the 55 easliy....on a straight road.

I'm sure you've already seen this, but the GTR looks very capable around a track :)

I have always associated Hankook with low budget tyres.

19" tyres at that sort of width for £200 is cheap. The Pirelli equivalent is at least £100 more
