If in doubt...ask, and who better that the good people of this forum. I have seen a nice set of wheels on ebay, the off set/et is 31 and 34 I require 44 and 46. My question is...would spacers have to be used to increase 31/34 to 44/46 or would material have to be removed?.
Now you have your thinking head on I will ask another question. Are spacers in general use, are they safe to use, and are they readily available?. Its something I have not come upon previously.
Thank you.:)

No, you cant use spacers on an alloy with an ET already lower than you need, they already sit further out from the hub. Spacers reduce an ET not increase.

Wheel offset information

Thank you both, a picture is worth a 1000 words.
The wheels by the way may be of interest to others on the forum. Not knowing how to do links I will use the item number from Ebay.
221059755288 the wheels are 19inch AMG fitted with 245/35/ZR19 and 275/30/ZR Continentals.
BOTH THE WHEELS AND TYRES ARE NEW. price as of now £570+ Could be a good buy for someone.
Thank you again for the help.

I thought ET/Offset was when ET went back home.....
