Hi all,

Can anyone enlighten me on the different terms used by our American friends?

My CLK Elegance has wood trim which I thought was called Walnut(?) unless someone knows different.

Now the Americans have something called Burlwood - is this the same colour - or even close?

Reason from asking is I want to replace my leather gear knob with a chrome/wood one and I want it to match!

Thanks

For Mercedes OEM stuff - I think that "burlwood" is what they call the "Walnut" trim that we get over here.

For third party stuff, there seems to be a selection of "burlwood" type stuff, dark burlwood, light burlwood, etc... so may not be a perfect match.

Thanks for that Sym - kinda yes and kinda no in essence

I don't think the item is OEM anyway so I guess I will have to take a chance on a half decent colour match.

Fingers crossed then

Guy

Burlwood is a type of Walnut with a lot of dark swirls in it.

Limited Edition - thanks for that, and the pics make it nice and obvious too!

I think that Burlwood is pretty much the same as the interior on the Elegance model I have.

Will just have to get the bits and find out for sure.

Thanks all for your input.

Knew it was here somewhere.
Here you go:

Not too big, but you might be able to get the idea.
Bottom left is walnut.
Middle top and middle bottom are Zebrano.
Bottom right is Burlwood.
These come with the chrome as well.
