Hi today while driving and running on the low side the obd says reserved tank, is there really a reserved tank in the vehicle? Mines a 2004 clk. If so what mileage can I achieve on the reserved tank.

Thanks

Its your last bit of fuel, on reserve ive done 40 miles on it before in my CLK 240...wouldnt recommend it as at the bottom of your petrol tank there may be 'dirty' bits

Can you not bring up the remaining miles on the steering wheel buttons?

As above, I don't let mine anywhere near the orange light if I can help it. I think there is around 1.5 - 2 gallons left when it illuminates.

As above it's your last 2 gallon in the tank.

In the old days there actually was a separate small tank. My Dad's 1960 VW Beetle required a lever to be moved to open this tank...and then the car would go again!

I achieved 90 miles of motorway driving on reserve from my CLK270 cdi. Still had 4 miles on the range on OBC.

My CLK has on one occasion got down to 0 miles left. It had 140 remaining when I left home to go and do a 2 hour job that took 8 hours and was well past midnight and no garages near to me.
When I eventually pulled into one it took 68L (in a 65L tank) and where it always starts first crank, this time it took 3 or 4 goes to pressurise the system.
I actually pulled off the carriageway and drove through town as I figured it would be easier getting a taxi home from a street than a carriageway.
I'll not be doing that again.

Ive done Marlow to Cambridge approx 65miles in my CLS after the light Came on :)

Oh I see. It's the first time it came on but straight away I went into a petrol station and filled up.

Only start worrying once its gone past the orange light zone :)

Hi today while driving and running on the low side the obd says reserved tank,
Wasn't that obvious enough?

Next people will expect a 'clean me' warning light.

I though there was a reserved tank as the light wasn't on.
