Think ive messed up! got some leather dye to cover in a few marks on my leather................and I think that ive used the wrong shade!!

I did a search and eveybody called it black! great help but some said "anthracite black" which I bought!

just put some on and it looks lighter!! :wallbash:

never used this stuff before so trust me to get the wrong one!

Anybody idea's of the correct name for the standard black leather please??

the colours they list I have is;

Schwarz Black or
Anthracite
cheers guys

As it is Nappa leather does it need different treatment from the standard leather?

Regards

Richard

Mine on the driver seat side bolster is worn exactly like yours and my car has only done 25k miles. Not much you can do really I have tried most conditioners and they cant really repair the wear and tear already done. There is a mercedes interiior specialist called D- class who can replace that leather portion for you.

I plan to do this once mine gets really worn.

Mine just gone over 50k, will look ok when I work out this dye!

The perforated leather is a pain in the **** to! the leather cleaner gets in the holes and drys white!! bought a deatiling brush so will spend hours jabbing that in to get it out! :eek: lol

Have you used the gliptone liquid leather and conditioner?

Its available on ebay, it is the dogs danglies, brought my 124k old c200 leather back from the dead, you just need to use loads of the conditioner, it also brings the smell back too.

Well worth a try before any dyes.
