What is the warranty period on a MB battery

The steering movement has several relays and they all end up in the front and rear SAM and N73 door control module also the N93 central gateway module, also the K40/6 fuse and relay module, and the rear Y40/5

Most faults involve replacing the front left SAM and nothing else, so this shows that the that the steering adjustments are nothing to do with the seats

To replace the seat module,,you remove the squab after removing the covering, that invovles removing the rear back.

I have taken all the covering off mine,,cant remember how long to take it off but only 10 mins to put it all back

I've not checked but is that from WIS? It could be the door module and i did say nearly always.

Also about the seats, the module location differs per model so its not one size fits all

Perhaps a little on the long side if i'm honest.

How much on the long side? I'm still in negotiating mode here and, if the fault is connected with the steering wheel adjust, which seems to be the case, I have already grounds to say they needn't have spent so much time looking (they say it took them six hours just to narrow it down to the front SAM) when I had already told them where to look and that that was the only place I wanted them to look.

Yes that is from WIS and I see that there are several versions and I just took one. I did not check the Diag.

I see that N32/1 seat controler has its own memory, but I do not what version he has.

I do not think that its in my seat, but not the same car, but I was not looking for that and as you say nearly always the door module

I stop doing proper work at half past so i will get you an answer then mate.

It is the N32 seat controller according to WIS, which frustratingly doesn't give any times for the job.

An hour must clear that job, as I said I put mine back the complete seat covers both base and back in 10 mins, It took long to take it down as I had never done it before.

Thanks guys. I have beat them back down on the extra 30 mins.

Thanks everybody. Now, can someone tell me if the easy exit feature on my steering wheel will work again after the drivers seat control box is fitted?

Have they actually said what is wrong with your seat control box, and does it really take this number of hours to diagnose the fault?

Can you not just go to an indy now and say you've been told the seat control unit is duff and ask them to confirm it's duff and then replace it if necessary?

Yes I put the answer in post 61, the components there have nothing to do with it, the seat module is not even memtioned

Well does the adjust actually work normally to start?

Should not take anywhere near this long.

Re the steering easy exit, was it working before, is it actuated, if the seat is right back and the steering wheel used in the highest position it will not move on the easy exit mode if driven that way
