It is to make the air flow easily, its odd as it look useless?

I would hazard a guess at speeding up air flow and noise reduction.

Google ram air or inlet trumpets.

Quite so - it reduces the pressure drop you would have with a sharp edged pipe end.

It provides a hint that manufacturers take great care about designing the air intake systems for their engines.
 
Sudden discontinuities in air or liquid pipework systems cause resistance to flow rate and turbulence.
