What's within the radius of the reach of the wire, and is there anything that's not working that should be working? Generally wires are set to the length that they need to be to make the connection without unnecessary slack. From the location most likely a seat, have the seats perhaps been changed and that electrical function not on the replacement

Well im having Can bus issues with errors (No communication on canbus) stating wheel rotation sensor (ESP ABS) and my car goes into limp mode after about 10 to 15mins of driving.Doesnt show ABS or ESP problem on my dash tho.

Ive done conductor plates etc.
Not sure if this wire is related to the ABS.

seats all look plugged in...but the seat raiser doesnt work..will post the DTC codes..will check that wire again after work.😶

Those brown/red wires in the background are can bus, are any of them unterminated?

Doubt it would be ABS related. Can you read any mercedes part number from the plug? Sometimes they have a sticker indicating the connector number (name).

Looks like a busbar to me. Perhaps it is a point to connect additional control units to earth/CANBUS rather than running longer wires back through the full loom for differing spec vehicles. . You can see the wires going in one side and on the other it appears at least to have a connector that would join all those pins together. If that is the case, looking at that corrosion I would want to take it apart and clean it all up or replace it. It could certainly cause errors on the CAN with that type of resistance or poor connectivity to control modules (unlikely to be related to your DTC but being the path of least resistance (pardon the pun) I wouldn't rule it out).

Dismantle the plug if you can and report back please, my CLK is getting on a bit now so I expect these things to start coming out of the woodwork soon enough :)
