What's this rocker switch above parking brake release? Car is a 2003 Japanese Market S211.
Any clues? Thanks!

Has no apparent function when switched

It does look as if the dash was drilled through in order to fit the switch.

Really thought rear fog was the answer, just tried but it doesn't control the rear fog in any way.
I'd say definitely retro fitted too.

Could be front parking sensors, it’s after market so who really knows.

Some (non-merc) ex-police cars in the UK had a switch fitted to stop the internal lights from coming on when the doors open.... in addition to the original rocker/slider switch.

If it's an ex-limo, maybe is switches-on the lights at the back?

If it's hidden from sight, could it be some sort of an aftermarket immobiliser or alarm?

Thanks all, I will try it out when it's dark to see if it's anything to do with the lights!

It lights up “you can’t catch me “on the back when you press the button near the Police

Bit optimistic on an E240, though.
