See the pic, it's the black round part in front of the interior light. I've checked the manual and can't find anything in there, and I have no idea what this is/does!!

Anyone care to enlighten me please?

I think it's your alarm sensor.

Sit in the car and lock it using the key fob then sit and wait....

It is a microphone.

It rotates left and right a little, maybe 45 degrees, so it would make sense for it to be a mic and the rotation would be for left/right hand drive.
