They're only magazines.
And I've read them all.
So why does it feel so wrong to take them to the tip? (Sorry, recycling centre.)
Fellow hoarders, I need some sympathetic words.

Could you not donate them to say the library and see if they find any use for them? Is there anything unique about the magazines that maybe you could sell as a back issue?

dont worry, think of it this way, you dont think of them day to day so you dont need them, taking them to the tip, they will be put in the paper only skip where they can be recycled into new editions :)

maybe you could split them into enthusiast piles to sell- one for merc , bmw, porsche etc etc

I did put some on fleeBay for a while. All the Porsche ones (Total 911, 911 and Porsche World) and got a grand total of zero bids. I thought about putting the EVOs on individually too, but then a quick scout through other items for sale revealed plenty of others had had the same idea with little success. No, I reckon they've gone to the best place. Unless they're destined to be turned into Celebrity Gossip magazines.

If they are later than 1980 then my doctor and dentist could do with them in their waiting rooms

I like your style; a bootload of Razzle and Escort etc with a few motoring magazines scattered on top.

Heave all you copies of Readers Wives out of their at once. Don't think we don't know they are in there. That will help with your sadness.

Hmm, I can see a pattern developing here. Ironically, my wife thinks I'm looking at porn right now. I tell her that because it's slightly less embarrassing than discussing recycling old magazines on a motoring forum.

;)
