    Massive ridge down it's cheese grater bonnet, I've no idea what it is, but curiosity got the better of me...

    Oh, E-Type Jag? I like those. I've never seen them from the cockpit though. :doh: :rolleyes:

    That is a an E Type possibly a series 1 the three wiper blades are another clue.

    Series 1 E Type

    No question: bonnet vents on an E Type - a car that suffered from chronic overheating.

    Traditionally always a chronic fabrication problem, louvres were pressed in a separate panel which was then attached to the bonnet - the aluminium bonnet easily flexes, while the louvres are rigid.

    Here it is in the Browns Road Factory:
