Just a quick question.

What integration do you have via retro fit.

ie do you have full integration into comand or just something like parrot or other kit. Do you use the car speakers and did you need an additional loom to connect into the speakers..?

I have a Parrot Ck3100 in my W208, I also have BOSE (analog I think) and it all comes through the speakers, with excellent sound quality.

It was straightforward to fit using the ISO looms provided, just needed to tap an ignition feed from the cigar lighter, and swap the 12v constant feed on the loom to fit the pin pattern.

It also mutes the AUDIO 10. I have no pre wire so had to go non oem. I also plan to fit COMAND soon, and from what I understand it should work, perhaps I may have to make my own connector but should be OK.

I cannot say enough about the parrot it is a great piece of kit, and it is neatly stowed away in the ashtray.

I only fitted a few days ago, PM me if you want any more info, happy to help.

Motorola IHF1000.

Voice controlled, just a simple button pad next to gearshift to initiate and terminate calls. Mutes COMAND speaks through COMAND. I can say any name in my phonebook and it dials! (I have a V6 Maxx)

Parrot Ck 3100 in ashtray, integrated through comand speakers and mute, with full voice dialing.

Now also integrated with Microsoft voice comand giving me full access of windows mobile inlcuding the facilty to dial numbers simply by saying the number to dial.

Hi HughJarse,

Did you need to buy a seperate loom adapter to fit it or did you cut 'n' slice..?

Thanks

Thanks Guys,

Would it be standard ISO loom adapter that I need. It's pre can 99 CLK with comand and Bose upgrade..?

Ash

You don't need an adapter, the ISO loom that comes with the PARROT is fine.

Thanks Matt,

Not sure whether to bother going for the Parrot 3200 (square screen) or the 3100 like yours. Space is a premium up front as you know and I want to avoid putting it "On display" on the dash if I can help it.

nokia ck-7w, it has its own speaker but mutes the command when making or receiving call. The ck-7w is a bluetooth and connects to any nokia with a pop port connector. this way you can charge the phone too., the parrot does have the advantage of the phone book view, but if the phone is held in a cradle you get that option anyway.

The 3200 is
Screen / Keypad 64 x 58 x 20 mm Weight: 62 g

Not sure whether that would fit or not, I think it might, but might be worth going into a friendly car radio shop and asking to compare both.

I bought mine in my local car radioshop, who showed me the looms etc before I bought it. They also price matched an internet price!!

The only additional functionality over the ck3100, is colour display, picture display and some nice wallpaper!!!

I have one of these waiting to be fitted in my W211 - any tips?

Going to using a cable that connects to the Audio 20 so it routes through the car speakers. Will this be simple plug and play?

right then supremely intelligent folks....

I've been down to my local auto shop who told me the parrot may not work with my setup as I have the bose upgrade. He said it was 50/50 that I could hear anything..?

Have any of you who have fitted this (or any other sort) got the bose upgrade as well and was it plug 'n' play..?

Ta..!

I use my passenger seat as a phone holder and operate it with a bluetooth head set.

I'm not very sophisticated when it comes to mobiles on the move!

I have code 810 on my 2000 W208.

810 loudspeaker, sound package
sound package (bose) (с 01.12.1986)

Which I think is analog bose, mine works fine, perhaps a little loud, so I have the volume levels at low settings from the Parrot.

I think there is a digital bose package which is much more problematic.

Thanks Matt,

According to the VIN checker mine has the same (810) so it should be plug and play.. Happy Days.

Many thanks
Ash
