Time has come to replace the original mats after 10 years of use.

Before I go and splash some cash at the MB stealership I thought I'd check to see if anyone had a better suggestion than the Merc ones.

Suggestions anyone?

The best mats i have seen are the original MB rubber tailored mats. only about £30 for the set. 5 mats.

The velour overmats are better than the ribbed jobbies

What about some Homer Simpson ones?? <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Dave,

If your going the Homer route, why not cut up an old bath floor mat, the long shag pile look...

NICE!!!!! &nbsp; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I've got an old set of 4 special edition 12v illuminated Homer/MB mats.

Let me know if you'd like them.

But I'd go with the velour, personally.

I bought a full new set from the Stealership, very good quality, proper fit for a W124, about £35.00. Not bad at all, very happy with that.

Were these the rubber mats or carpet? My current ones are the creme coloured carpet which look great, but tend to look pretty grubby in minutes, especially in winter.

What you need is the hard 'brush' type mats, they dont attract dirt easily and dont show it either...very hard wearing and proper MB accesory... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I bought mine from autostyle, at 65 quid probably the most expensive from what I've seen of the other posts but they are perfect
