I managed to get hold of the official Mercedes roof bars (for a W204 C class) - but as I suspected, I find that the bars are too wide to fit my roofbox using the U-bolts.
I will therefore have to use the T-track system - but can anyone who has done this advise on the size of bolt which will perfectly fit the T-track system in the Merc bars?
Something like this is what I'm intending:
