What to choose

As my beloved C200 Sport Estate (W202) has now been written off by my insurers I am now in the market for another one. I want another W202, it doesn't need to be an estate but I am thinking of going up a notch.

So, do I go for a C240 or a C280? What are the relevant pros/cons?

Fuel consumption is not really an issue.

If it was me i would opt for a C230K, but then i am biased

Go for the C280 then in V6 (facelift) form it's the same M112 engine.

Edit: more poke than the 230K but with the 6 cylinder smoothness (unless you want the more urgent feel on the 230K)

If Fuel is no issue and you can afford it a C43 Estate


If not then the C280 I guess, little difference if any in mpg over 240

Isn't the 240 engine the one with the huge sump? Something like 8 litres if I remember correctly.
