What tyres do I need for these?

I have a W202 ('98 C180), and I've found some alloys with the following spec:

5 stud X 112PCD X 17" X 7.5J X ET37

What size tyres do I need to make em fit?

Also, what make of tyres should I go with? I don't wanna spend too much, max £200 for 4, and how much should I be looking at to get the tyres put on the alloys? Thanks. :)

I might be wrong but I believe they are the same size & width etc as the fronts on my C36, these run 225/45/17 as standard, so this may well be the one to go for. I think you might do well to get 4 tyres for £200 though!

standard C36 front rims are 17 x 7.5 x ET35.

for 17" at those widths you'd be looking good to pay around £80-90 per corner for a quality branded tyre unless you go for a cheap make of tyre like Falken. For the branded tyres I've found Avon's to be the cheapest.

W202 17inch x 7.5 AMG Style 1, 3 and 4 have an ET of 37 Style 2 (disc as fitted to a C36) have an et of 35.

As has been said, 225/45/17 would be the correct size on a W202.

I reckon you will be looking at twice that! Maybe more for a quality branded tyre.

Even a 'budget cheapo' brand such as Falken/Kumho/Nankang etc will probably be nearer £300 for the 4 (with fitting/balancing etc)

If money is really tight, perhaps buy a set of runners (maybe £25-30 a tyre) and then change to new tyres in pairs as and when you can afford it?

Good Luck,

Cheers,

Will
