What would you call this metal texture?

Sadly not. Pretentious or otherwise, it's beautifully crafted.

They are a tad on the large side for my taste, I prefer the smaller Colt range. Are you considering buying a Bentley model? they come up on Ebay on a regular basis. If you are purchasing any Breitling make sure you get the service history if over four years old, and a full set of papers. Also there is a register of stolen Breitlings.

Being pedantic, on that size of component I'd specify it as medium cross-cut knurl..
