What would you do to restore Mercedes reputation as a ‘Premium’ manufacturer?

Just got a 70 plate C Class from Enterprise via Tesco insurance as have a small non fault repair to the lower front of mine...The build quality is poor...the window buttons are all loose and falling off...The guy from Enterprise said all their new Mercs are the same even an £80K one...Mercedes told them its wear and tear...the one I have at the moment has done just over 1K miles

Strange because after watching the tv programme last night about building the S Class I was impressed with the commitment to detail.

(Without getting caught up in the rights and wrongs of the last F1 GP) I wonder what impact Mercedes' attitude will have on it's brand? By that I mean their double protests and potential appeal against their rejections?

the window buttons on my 2015 premium plus are solid...the ones on the 70 plate appear to have caps on...cost cutting?
