Whats happened to my wheels?

Can someone more learned than me advise what has causes the marbling on the rim off the alloy? I have just had my wheels put on again after a spell with MB and 2 of the tyres have obtained this strange appearance (see photo) I have tried to wipe off and appear to be under the lacquer. Any ideas? Should I complain to MB? or is it a user issue?

looks like spidering under the lacquer, how old are the rims? might be a warranty issue.

As above. It may be.... if you have had the tyres replaced/re-fitted that the machine has damaged the lacquer. Certainly that apears to be underneath.

Only 6 months before being stored.Taken back to MB - photos taken and awaiting a result of a conversation with Service Manager and Mercedes. Thanks for ideas

Bob, all things being fair that should be covered by warranty. Our C180 is 20 months old with 7k on the clock and we have just had 3 of the 4 wheels replaced under warranty for similar deterioration.
