M3
So I'm thinking of selling my C63. I've seen a nice M3 and fancy a change. I do actually have a Macan GTS on order but I'm getting sick of waiting and being kept in the dark by the dealer, it looks like it could be at least another 6 months wait, I was told 7/8 months originally. I generally only keep my cars for a year, I would have gone an extra few months but as it stands I'll probably cancel the Porsche and buy something now. I've considered a C43 but my dealer is in the dark to when I would get one and I'm still waiting for all the info he promised me a week ago. I'll probably just go down the broker route if I did decide on a C43 as my local dealer doesn't really seem to like selling cars. Anyway, sorry for the rambling, back on topic what's my C63 worth as a private sale. It's a 2013 with 26500 miles, full MB history, last serviced and MOT in March. It has a MB warranty until June 2017 as it came with 2 years. 19" black alloys and Porcelain/black leather interior. I'm thinking of advertising it for £30k. All comments welcome, although I may not agree with them all :D
I realise it's tricky to sell privately and I've only managed to sell one car at this price level in the past, the buyer used Oracle Finance who paid me direct so this is an option that I will offer on the advert.

I'd say a little more, there's higher mileage examples for that price in white on autotrader! Bargain

I have already sold a C43 and we have full pricing, finance campaign and build slots. They're arriving in August. PM me your email and I'll send you the brochure and price list.

Also, tell your dealer to look on network news! Bloody embarrassment

I'd go a little higher on your price too, I was a private buyer only a few months ago and purchased a late 2012 with similar mileage for very close to your price.

Private purchasers are out there for these cars and its just as easy for them to sort out a bit of finance with their bank, as it is doing it through a car dealer.

I'd be looking at advertising yours for £32k (allowing for a bit of haggling) for your car with the remaining warranty and mileage.

Don't under sell it...... It's a sought after colour, has the advantage of being a 2013 model (Over mine) with the right mileage and a decent warranty remaining.

Thanks chaps. Tbh I'd be happy with £30k, but guess I'd have to advertise for £31/32k to allow for haggling. I might advertise it at the weekend, if I bought the M3 I could have it straight away, if I go for a C43 then I have other transport that I can use while I wait for it.

Id recommend some good earplugs so you don't have to listen to that lawnmover esque engine.:D

Haha, that's why I didn't buy one last year tbh. It definitely can't compete with the 63 on that front.

I'm in a very similar boat to you, I keep looking at M3's and 650i convertibles and already considering selling my C63. An awesome car but I find all I do is sit in traffic and it never really gets used as it should.

With yours I would definitely say 31/32k expecting you will get someone try and offer you 30k.

I know is not the same but if you change to an e63 you will get more luxury, more cosseting and as Much performance. Pottering around town is also great. Air suspension being the difference. Ask yourself - why do most diplomats and CEOs have an s class instead of the 7' it's because of the comfort. Sure, it's probably two tenth of a nano second slower on the nordschliefe, but in traffic you'll be glad of it.
Give that a go before an m3 and definitely before a 650i.
Good,luck and keep us posted.

Anyone ordered a C43 on here yet?

Been trying to get a drive in an E400 but no dealer or MB UK can supply one for a test drive so look like taking SWMBO to Germany where MB Mannheim have offered me one for 48 hours. Good old UK MB customer service at its best.

Would have looked at C43 but can't get on with the looks

E400 is cool, there are a few for sale on PH & Auto trader.

How's the R8, mate?

Birmingham MB have an E400 coupe demo I know because my mate had it when his a class was late being delivered.

I'm getting trade bids of just under £29k for my C63, it's quite tempting as the private buyers are all ****, especially the guy who rang the other day, the first thing he asked was 'what does it sound like' ffs. I quickly explained it sounds just like a C63 and hung up. I think £29k is pretty good for a hassle free and secure sale. Thoughts welcome.
