Whilst browsing the MBClub HTML (as you do ...), I came across this:

<!-- start moose crap -->

<a href="http://www.poundhost.co.uk" target="_blank"><img src="http://support.poundhost.co.uk/images/logo.gif"</a>
<br><br>
<!-- end moose crap -->

Quick google threw this up:

The Alaskan tourism industry will sell anything made from moose crap, and they probably will continue to do so as long as the tourists keep buying it.

So, what is moose crap? :)

(And I still can't insert smilies, or vBCode :-( )

:( :( :bannana: :-(

you are doing your smileys wrong !

you need : ( (without the space) - not : - (

or just click on the icons to the left, when posting.

S.

Doh! I know mate! That's my problem; when I click on the smilies on the left, or the vBCode just above, it just clicks and nothing happens :( (that will probably work, but I manually typed it in!)

I know this is a problem with my browser, but just thought I'd mention it :)

why didn't you say !!

what browser are you using ?

If its Internet Explorer, you can get a free upgrade to the lastest version from www.microsoft.com

.... might be worth a try.

S.

Thanks, Sym - it's actually v6 on XP, SP1. As an IT consultant, I take great care that I and my client's systems are up-to-date! <damn, what's the code for the smilie with the tongue sticking out?!!!>

I'll use Opera anyway :)

P.S. Shouldn't have confessed that you are an IT consultant - I'm going to bug you to death now ! (ask fuzzer !)

Heh, I really think you're giving Brian ammunition here regarding time on your hands :p

As for the 'Moose Crap' I haven't a clue but I guess the best people to ask would be K., Maff or Shude. Sure sounds like you don't want to be stepping in it :p

With regards the smiley menu on the left of the text window, I find the smiley's are always appended to the end of the text and not where your text cursor happens to be at the time. BTW I'm using Netscape 7.1 on 56k dial-up. :bannana:

S. **Now wondering about Moose Crap too  **

I'm using XP, IE6,SP1, same as Andrew, and I get the same as you Steve - appended to the end of the text . . . so just don't bother with the buttons . . . either remember the code, or be "emotionless" . . . !! lol

Can't you just cut and paste them from the end of the posting to where-ever you want them?

What? Do you mean to say that not *everybody* views the code? I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya! ;)

Yep, that is a pain. At least IE allows you to drag-and-drop; Opera doesn't :(

Well I view html source code but I don't generally admit to it

Netscape 7.1 allows drag 'n' drop of text too but it's best feature is banishment of the dreaded pop-up ad windows

that seem to proliferate these days

Have you tried Mozilla? That's based on Netscape code and is really fast apparently. I refuse to use IE6 as I consider it too much of a security risk since it mind-melds itself so completely into the OS.

MOOSE CRAP MOOSE CRAP MOOSE CRAP

** EDIT ** don't know where that came from . . . must have been my browser - it has a mind of its own !!

LOL @ sym!

Steve, be proud! You're a code-junkie!

I have tried Mozilla (I have it here, v.1.2.1 I think), but do prefer Opera. It's just that ... I ... keep ... getting .... dragged ... back ... to ... Microsoftttttttt :D

So, sym, as a staff member, wanna go sniffing? ;)

LOL, Moose is head programmer of www.BiT-Tech.net I used the template and left his psuedo comments in there....

FYI: BiT-tech.net is a site that was founded by me and now is run by some very nice people whom are my good friends.

Cool, K! The truth is out, but it's nowhere near as interesting as imagined :)

BTW: interesting site! I frequent overclockers, but I think I'll check in here as well. Any other sites you've founded?

You can't leave it like that! PM me - promise I'll be the sole (soul?) of discretion :)
