I have a 320sl with bil 4-- reg plate,3 digits,my names not bill and would like to sell, whats it worth? cheers.

Hello is it BIL 123 or BIL 1234 digits

I don't tend to like Irish plates especialy on UK cars with 4 digits, As its a name its got a value though. Just check with any number plate company to see what they are asking. Thats the maximum though as they take a cut.

Probably best to check e-bay to see what they go for?

As you always say. So if I travel through England should I change my plates so as not to offend you. BIL **** is not an Irish plate BTW it is a UK plate.

From the OP I guess it's "BIL 4xx". Value would depend a bit on the actual digits, 400, 450, 456 would probably be worth most.

420 or 430 would work on M-B's with that engine size.

If you search a few online sites you will get an idea of value ... a 3-digit one could sell for a couple of thousand IMO. The 4-digit ones are much cheaper.

just as a guide I was thinking of selling my irish plate DIW 111 and it was valued at £3500. Hope this helps

sounds very over valued to me - sorry but you could get a very similar plate to that for A LOT less. just check the prices on the web.

all IMHO!

As I said I don't tend to like IRISH plates on UK cars...

Your from Ireland and I guess have no choice? can you still have a private as such.

Just my view but

WIW 3454, DIG 5464, OIL 5656, BNZ 7855, etc etc to ME and maybe ME only don't look good.

The only Irish plate I liked was ACZ3 slightly spaced AC Z3 and it was when I owned a Z3 on the forum a guy there had it with a fully kitted AC //M Roadster

Good job we are all different....

I think the point was that these are Northern Ireland registrations, and NI is in the UK. So they are UK plates.

Hi there.
I dont wish to be a spoil sport but have they not "just" agreed to "try" and sell for that price?
It obviously does not mean you will get it, just like when a estate agent says a house is worth £100,000 more than someone is willing to pay.

P.S. I have had "dealings" with Reg Transfers.
