What's the difference between W208 1997-1999 and a 1999-2003?

I have a W208 clk320 AMG 1999 but is it the former or the later dated model and what is the difference?

Yours is a pre-facelift model.

The later facelift cars had indicators in the mirror housings, and multi-function buttons on the steering wheel with an updated instrument cluster etc.

Pretty much - it was a facelift rather than a new model, although with lots of minor updates.

Body coloured sideskirts (yours has these as you have AMG kit fitted.
Body coloured lower lip on front and rear bumpers
More rust
Multi function steering wheel (buttons)
LCD screen in dashboard cluster

The CLK W209 doesn't have one.- nor does the W208 cabriolet, maybe you thinking of that?

Could be, but I really thought the facelift non Cab version also lost B pillers too.

No, all 208 coupe models have fixed rear windows and a B-pillar.

Mine was a 2001 and it’s the same on the pre-facelift. I think you’re thinking of the 209 Mark?
