It's like it's got glitter in it or something and no amount washing it has made any difference.

I am assuming they're quite pricey to replace so I was pondering having a stone 'incident' and using the free glass cover on my insurance.

Your thoughts?

That's fraud..

You asked.

Point taken. Do you have any thoughts on the glitter effect my windscreen is displaying?

Cheers

A centre punch applied to the edge of the screen works, erm, so I'm told! :o

Is it the original screen? Has it only recently appeared?

It is the original screen and I *think* it was okay when I got it but it may just have started annoying me more since the sunny mornings started.

It's just the tiny little chips you pick up when driving. You could try glass polish or wait until you get a genuine unrepairable chip.

Ah okay, that simple. I'm getting it properly valeted next week, I'll ask the chap to have a go at it.

Many thanks

I have the same problem with my windscreen looks like a metalic glitter when the sun is shining through it and is a fault in the lamination no amount of cleaning can get rid of it so replacement is the only answer and this problem is co/herent with after market screens
mine was an RAC replacement replaced before I bought the car, so make ***** you check yours is a genuine MB one.
