Sorry if this has been asked before, but....

Whats your all time favorite Mercedes?

A customer asked me today and it took me a few minutes to get my favorite 2 but then picking an all time favorite was hard.

Whats yours?

Well, one would have to be, my own W124 300TE 4-Matic Wagon. 7 seats, 4 Wheel Drive, Straight Six Engine. It is like driving around on a magic carpet (as most 124's are). The shape is timeless and as good looking today as it was 30 years ago.

At the other end of the scale I would love to own and be able to drive a CLR.

Does this count?

lets overlook the Sauber bit :)

My favourite as in one I have owned is a 420se 1986...

Pagoda, W208 CLK coupe, gull wing... there are a few. Difficult to say which one is above the others.

Agree with french, my 500se which I rarely use now is the most incredible piece of automotive engineering.Leather and carpets still like new, starts first time, limited slip diff if you want to hustle it, which it's quite good at, huge boot, chrome and paint work remarkable for its age and 150k+ mileage...and I know I've said this before, but wherever you arrive, you do so in style.

I would rather identify a period of time when Mercedes reached a peak in terms of product quality and accessibility which would be from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. So the ownership of any Merc from that time is going to be a rewarding experience even today.

M100 600 Pullman SWB

...and I know I've said this before, but wherever you arrive, you do so in style.
You certainly do... I brought my newborn daughter home from the Hospital in my 420SE which which was fitting indeed & the reason its my favourite car as it was the happiest day of my life...

All time - I'd have to say 300SL Gullwing.

Modern? Still have a very soft spot for the 219 CLS :)

W123

Its just an icon of a car. And a testament to pre computer on wheels generation.

Or a 500 SEC Widebody, with deep dish alloys [emoji173]️

560SEC AMG 6.0 DOHC - non widebody is my number 1 choice.

I really like the 190E 5.0 M119 that was featured on this forum some years ago

Or a T124 E60 AMG of which there are rumoured to be a handful in existence.

Or this which is also very cool:-
