I found an old thread by R2D2 about a place called STS or Pro Tyre in Rainham, Kent.

Are there any others people on here use?

Annoyingly, I used to live up the road that runs up next to Wheels In Motion...

You mean with the URL specified or anywhere I go to get it done?

I'm only after front wheel alignment as I think the NS has too much toe in possibly.

STS/ Pro Tyre are the same company, in fact they recently bought KwikFit making them the biggest fast-fit in the EU.

STS have some serious equipment issues regarding the MB calibration so i urge you to be careful.... Elite run hot and cold, better than STS in my opinion but again be careful.

I am of a similar opinion.

Thing is, with the majority of my previous cars, I was not so bothered. However, because of the animals these cars are, I'd rather someone who I knew they knew what they were doing did it.

I thought about take a trip up there but I cannot do the next two Saturdays and my old stomping ground is too far to get up to for those opening hours during the week.

    Cheers fella.

The thing is, and I am not intending to be disrespectful to any of these places, but having the gear and knowing what you are doing are two very different things.

I'd rather someone with the old mirrors and metal wheel brackets and knowing what they are doing over someone who knows nothing with all the fancy technology (within reason)...

I am overly paranoid probably but then this kind of thing needs to be spot on!

JohnEBoy , im with you on this one, any other car, Goodwins in seven kings has always been spot on, but Wheels in motion have proved themselves on the w211(and other mercs), and its gotta be them when it comes to aligning my motor too.

Not wanting to hijack this thread i really need to make things clear so you all have some ammunition when needs be.

1: The MB is truly surgical and this is it's nemesis.
2: MB UK cannot violate their scripted parameters geometrically.
3: Most fast-fit centres out there will only use the MB data which will not solve your complaint.
4: Most centres outside of MB will not have the adjuster bolts in stock, so you need to be wise in advance!
5:Fitting the adjuster bold is very difficult... We have had cars from UK and Germany from the factory where the adjusters have been fitted incorrectly.
6: Reads end of days but the issue is perfectly correctable.

Can someone explain to me what this means? I need to get my wheels aligned and this has just confused the heck out of me. Im in Dover and need to find someone but by the sounds of it no one will be able to align the wheel properly outside of MB.

+1 for Steve at Classcars. Remote location on the Wingham road off the Sandwich bypass. Merc trained technicians, courtesy cars available, labour rates at less than half main dealer. I paid around £80 for full alignment.
