Afternoon,

My E63 has a pull to the left, took it to Merit for a basic wheel balance and alignment as I thought this would resolve it, but they've had two goes at the alignment now and it still has a noticeable pull to the left. It's no worse under load or braking, so I think that either they can't do this correctly or maybe I have a control arm or similar that's on the wonk.

Anyway, looking for somewhere in the Surrey area who specialise in handling, as I'd like to get the whole geometry looked at whilst getting this issue resolved. Is there anyone in my neck of the woods that anyone would recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Many here have used and suggest Wheels in Motion in Chesham, might not be that close to you but worth the trip as they certainly know their stuff.

Have a look here

The E63 steering wheel isn't the easiest to centre as the dash and reference points are not perpendicular.
I always ask to centre the steering wheel myself prior to alignment and then get them to lock it in position.... it's then on me rather than having to come back and get it done again ten minutes after leaving.

On two occasions 'new camber bolts' message popped up on the alignment machine which would need to be sourced from MB. Thankfully front camber wasn't an issue at the time.

Abbey Motorsport in Oxted did mine which might be nearer than WIM.

Well, that answers that then, thank you very much.

I'll be taking a trip to Chesham.

It will be well worth it....great bunch of guys, and they sorted out my C43.

However, ensure that your tyres are in reasonably good condition before you put it on the tracking machine.

They know their vehicle geometry !!

Get the wheels balanced when you are down there....their machine is super accurate.

The car has a set of Continentals on it, not the best tyre for the car from what I've read, but they have at least 80/90% left all round.

Would you redo the alignment and geo if you changed tyre brand?

Can definitely recommend WIM in Chesham, also the route taken to get there allows some fun time with the car!!

+1 for WIM
