Wheel bolt torque setting?

Hi,

Can someone pls advise of the correct torque setting for wheel bolts 19" alloy's on a W212 E63 saloon.

From the manual (and what I do mine up to): 96 lb-ft (130 Nm).

High torque damange the threads and wheels. For a high value, try the MB W140 at 150 Nm for both steels and alloy so, apply to my W126 until I insisted that they double check and verify 110Nm as the correct figure.

Cars fitted with the shorter wheel bolts such a A,B,C and E-class are always 130nm, vehicles fitted with the longer wheel bolts like the S,GL,ML,R and G-class are 150nm

I'm 99% sure my manual concurs with 130nm on my E.

However, they always seem a bit too tight when undoing them...

Depends on the BMW both my 535d's were 120nm

Correct for the AMGs, non AMGs are lower.

Wonder why AMG's are higher. Is it incase we drive the wheels off them.

According to my (electronic) manual it's the same for all 2013 E Class, irrespective of spec.

Tighten the wheel bolts evenly in across wise pattern in the sequence indicated to A). The tightening torque must be 96 lb-ft (130 Nm).

Solid tyres on a my first small bike is about as far back as I remember. Sounds like you know more about them from experience...
