wheel opinions and tyre recommendations please!

What do you all think of these rims for a w202 sport:

Also, can someone recommend decent tyres & prices in the following sizes:

225/40R18 on the fronts
255/35R18 on the rears

Will these rims even fit a w202???

look nice, they are advertised as "AMG style" so probably replicas. also never seen that design on any AMG`s (i may be corrected by someone on here!).

as for tyres theres various sources, costco, mytyres.

The sizes are correct for a staggered setup, normally fitted on 8j and 9J, the ones you are showing are 8.5J also 35 offset... they may rub.

pretty sure that the normal E55 mono2 is ET 31 and 8J on the front.. and ET 35 and 9J on the rear

I had 18's on my W202, they did rub...they were 225/40 too... You might want to be careful, but mine is an esprit, not a sport. As for tyres, are you looking for summer, all weather or winter tyres? What speed rating?

Its been a while since I haven't bought all weather tyres, but at my last check these were pretty good:
-Bridgestone Potenza RH 720
-Michelin pilot Exalto
-Firestone Firehawk TZ 200
-Pirelli P 7

All are V rated; obviously the size of the tyre can affect how the tyre responds, Ive gone on the assumption that you're using roughly 16 inch tyres (205/55x16).

I have just changed from Dunlop SP9000s to Michelin Pilot Sports at around the size you're looking for on my S500, and thoroughly recommend them. Look good too I think.
