Wheel spacers for 2007 ML500

Wanting to make my newly acquired ML500 look closer to the ground.

Need two tyres and will fit 285 45 19 on my rears to replace 255 50 19. More concerned with looks than comfort.

Will also add 'fender flares' (will post separately about this.)

Is it folly or possible when changing rear tyres to put spacers on my rear hubs? Online seems to be from 15mm-30mm and about £60-70+

Don't know what size will look best and would value advice.
 
Yes, you need at least 30mm to stop the rear of the car looking like something from the 50's..

As you say, about £60 a pair. Had mine on for a couple of years with no problems..

Obviously you will wear out the wheel bearings faster, but generally, they will outlast the car anyway..
